"Basil & Cheese Cafe opened on March 9, 2022 at the corner of 8th and Main St at the heart of the Fashion District of DTLA. I actually named our cafe after my dog Basil who loves cheese! We even dedicated an entire wall to Basil in our cafe, which you’ll see when you enter.

Before I opened this cafe, I graduated from hospitality management school in Switzerland and became a Hotelier for 20 years in Los Angeles. I was the Director of Business Development of Asian Sales at the Intercontinental Los Angeles Downtown as well as the Catering Sales Manager at the Biltmore Hotel. I sincerely enjoyed the work I did in the hospitality industry and loved the idea of seeing people smile by delivering quality service in a professional manner.

It makes me so happy to continue my career with my own business and have an opportunity to translate all of my hospitality experience into Basil & Cheese Café. Quality is our promise and we promise to deliver on it everyday!"
